Ph.D. candidate Konstantinos Vogiatzoglou has been awarded a fully-funded scholarship under the prestigious “Visiting Researchers of the Academic Year 2024-2025” program (https://www.bodossaki.gr/draseis-toy-idrymatos/ypotrofies/), supported by the Bodossaki Foundation. This scholarship will enable him to spend six months at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (https://cse-lab.seas.harvard.edu/) as a short-term scholar, where he will work under the supervision of Professor Petros Koumoutsakos.
Since 2022, Konstantinos has been an active Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, conducting research under the co-supervision of Professors Costas Papadimitriou, Vasilis Bontozoglou, and Konstantinos Ampountolas. His research focuses on the simulation and management of extreme wildfires, with a particular emphasis on uncertainty quantification and risk assessment.
