Students of the Department may participate in the Erasmus program either for academic studies or for an internship.

Applications

The announcement for expression of interest for studies or internships is posted on the official website of the International Educational Programs Office of the University o f Thessaly.

The applications,  with the rest of the candidate’s file, are sent by the International Educational Programs Office of the University of Τhessaly to the Department for selection of participants. The Department’s Assembly examines the applications and selects the candidates based on their academic performance, the number of courses required to complete the studies and the special participation conditions established by the Department. After the selection of the participants, the Department informs the International Educational Programs Office about the results. Before submitting applications, applicants for study participation are encouraged to examine the study program of the host institution to which they are applying.

Special participation requirements for the Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has also established the following additional requirements. In order for a student to participate in the Erasmus program, he must:

  • Have succeded the courses of the first cycle of studies, i.e., at least 23 courses,

  • Have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 6.5.

These requirements must be met when submitting the application for participation in the program.

The details regarding the participation of students in the Erasmus+ program are determined by the Erasmus + Mobility Regulation.
