Office Hours: Tuesday 16:00 - 17:00
Dimitrios Pandelis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1963. He received his diploma in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1987 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering: Systems from the University of Michigan in 1990 and 1994 respectively.
After his doctoral studies he worked in the USA as a Research Engineer for ERIM International (1994-2000) and Tellabs Operations (2000-2001). He was an Instructor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Thessaly from 2003 to 2008, when he was elected Assistant Professor of Stochastic Models of Operations Research in Industrial Management. He is full Professor since 2020.
His research interests are in applied probability, stochastic control, queueing networks, flexible manufacturing, scheduling and resource allocation, and supply chain management.
