Scope

Introduction to modeling and optimization methods for realistic, real-world-scale problems in sustainable and green supply chain and logistics, and development of practical experience in solving them.

Contents
  • Understanding the National Climate Law and carbon footprint assessment.
  • Mathematical programming modeling and the Assignment Problem with economic and environmental criteria.
  • Short-term refinery scheduling with emphasis on efficient resource utilization and reduction of environmental impacts.
  • Cross-docking warehouse scheduling for improving efficiency and reducing the transportation and energy footprint.
  • Modeling of VRP problems, such as capacitated VRP, VRP with time windows, green VRP, and routing problems with emissions constraints.
  • Location problems in sustainable logistics applications, such as the location of recycling or waste bins, rescue helicopters, journey planning, and bike-sharing network design.
  • CPLEX seminars using C++.
