Objectives

The main objective of WP7 is the development of design guidelines / recommendations for the seismic analysis and design of industrial piping, including their support systems. Special emphasis will be given to the design of an adequately dissipative support system, to reduce the seismic action on the piping. The guidelines will be compatible with the existing Eurocode 8 (EN 1998) framework for earthquake-resistant design.
